About Me

IMG_2493I am a graduate from the University of Limerick with a First Class Honours BSc. in Media, Music and Performance Technology and have most recently finished a MSc. in Interactive Media whereby I am in a great position to receive another First Class Honours. My previous 6 years have focused on digital media and have allowed me the opportunity to combine highly technological skills with artistic and creative endeavor, which I wish to continue to a higher level. My study of interactive multimedia primarily provided me with a background in creative programming while simultaneously familiarized me with software design tools and the problem solving foresight required in order to supply the best possible user experience in products. My knowledge is consistently growing with regards to multimedia tools thus allowing me to explore new territories. I have a particular interest in the evolving relationship between art and computer science, whereby investigating their intersection results in innovative ideas.

As you can see on my portfolio, I have undertaken numerous projects, which showcase my ability to both design and code concepts. Previous projects have taught me valuable lessons in how the aesthetic, feel, usability and general flow of products are essential in order to enhance user satisfaction. Most recently I employed user centered design frameworks for my dissertation project. I designed and developed a mobile application whereby I took charge of all wireframing, digital designing, prototyping, user testing and app development.

My professional aim is to work with other passionate people to produce compelling content for a variety of media platforms. I am committed to taking advantage of every opportunity to develop my skills and become a valuable member of a creative team. Presently I am using my spare time to strengthen my skill set and perhaps acquire some new ones. I am determined to secure a role within a company that shares my passion to create cool and innovative products.
