Wearables Workshop

As part of the Principles Of Interaction Design module, our class participate in weekly workshops. These are of get benefit to us as we learn new techniques with regards to running a workshop and also being a participant. This past week the workshops focus was on the design of wearable technology. Wearable technology can serve to be a new medium to convey information falling under the category of Internet Of Things.

Our class was split into groups and set the task of creating a low fidelity prototype of an interactive wearable. The group that I was apart of was made op of three. We decided to make real time weather information the driving factor behind our wearable. The general idea was that a user would wear a wristband that provides weather updates for x amount of time in the future. All information would inherit the standards of ambient displays, only forcing the users attention when most necessary. Below you can see some images of our rough design.
